As Seen On NBC TMJ4 News: Looking for Love at a Lock & Key Dating Event

When singles in Milwaukee want a unique and fun way to meet, they put down their phones and join us at our in-person Lock & Key singles event. NBC's WTMJ-TV stopped by to see the magic firsthand.

When singles in Milwaukee want a unique and fun way to meet, they put down their phones and join us at our in-person singles event called Lock & Key. Our trademarked event has been running these interactive and fast-moving parties since 2001, so literally thousands of people have met — and either married or found their significant other — at the events. At this event, NBC's WTMJ-TV came to talk to Elise, our Milwaukee event host for Lock & Key and Pre-Dating Speed Dating events.

Looking for love before Valentine's Day

About 40 people looking for love before Valentine's Day went to a unique Lock & Key dating event in Milwaukee, covered by reporter James Groh for TMJ4 News.

Milwaukee Brewing Company and Distillery hosted the event. One group of people received a key, and the other half received locks. They mingled to find the person with the matching fit — unlocking their hearts to find true love along the way.

Breaking the ice on live TV

The TMJ4 crew did their best to find two people looking for love and help them break the ice — including attempting a quasi-speed-dating round on live television. They spoke with Madison and Emily from Waterford, asking how they would describe themselves and what they're attracted to in a partner.

It's exactly the kind of fun, no-pressure atmosphere we aim for at every Lock & Key event: a structured icebreaker that gets everyone talking, a room full of local singles, and a friendly host making sure nobody stands alone in the corner.
